I am quick to draw a distinction between folk and traditional music, but it's a strange distinction. I'll outline my thoughts here. Anyway,
I do enjoy folk music, especially through Leo's lens, but I've been interacting with it for a long time. I mostly do stuff like cover Bob Dylan songs, as I've done in the following recording:
I've done other stuff, but that's probably my best performance. There's also an Edgar Allan Poe poem I set to music that I'm happy with, recorded on a mountain near my home: (YouTube link)
I've got a second YouTube channel now, where I'm posting a bit more music while I'm out of town. It's a mix of stuff, but there's some folk. Here's a folk song called "Lamplighting Time in the Valley".
